1. What is coaching and how is it different to counseling?
Coaching focuses on the future and moving forward from a place of being willing and capable to change. Counselling is more about looking into ones past and seeking to find healing.
2. Why choose ‘Wife and Life Coaching’ over another business?
Choosing a life coach (or wife coach) is a personal preference and can depend on who you connect with because it is a relationship-based industry after all. My aim is to reach and connect with women who are looking for hope and providing them encouragement in a safe environment with a growth focus. All sessions are spirit lead and rely on biblical based principles and education to help direct goals, visions and thoughts into alignment with God’s truth.
3. Can I be coached if I am currently seeing a Counselor?
Yes, because counseling is different to coaching.
4. Do I need to be a Christian to be coached?
Although the foundation of Wife and Life Coaching is biblical, I am still trained in the same core methods and techniques as other coaching professionals. Therefore, you are most welcome to work alongside me if you feel we connect in way that will facilitate healthy growth in a safe environment.
5. What exactly does ‘spirit lead’ mean?
When I use the term “spirit-lead”, it means that I invite God into the process through prayer and His Spirit. The purpose for this is to be sure we are guided, through His wisdom and discernment, towards the goals and visions God has planned for us.
6. How does mentoring and coaching work?
Mentorship deals with succession training and getting you (the client) to replicate the mentor. Due to my personal and professional experiences, I can offer certified life coaching, as well as Christian mentorship with permission of the client.
7. Will you be honest by letting me know when I am ready to stop coaching?
Initially I prefer my clients to commit to a minimum of four (4) sessions, although the best opportunity for growth would be committing to a 12-week program. This is because change takes time. Just like having a personal trainer, results need time to manifest, you don't stop after one session, but instead work towards establishing new habits. With that said, the goal of coaching and mentorship is not for you to be a client forever. My aim is to strengthen you and teach you the skills needed, so you can step out of coaching and into the next season of your life confidently.
8. I can’t afford your listed rates; can you work with me and my budget?
My goal is to help change as many lives as possible. To achieve this, I have made it my priority to price sessions at an affordable and effective rate. If you don’t feel that this offer works for you, I would be happy to discuss other options that are more suitable for your needs.
9. Do you accept insurance?
Wife and Life Coaching is not currently set-up with insurance carriers. Coaching fees however, may be tax deductible as either a consulting or educational expense on your Schedule C. You may wish to contact your accountant to gain clarity on that topic and whether it applies to you.
10. How do I know if we will work well together?
Coaching and mentorship is a relationship-based venture. I hope you will get feel for my personality and ethics throughout the website, however, should you still feel the need to ‘get to know me better’, you are welcomed and encouraged to reach out via email to communicate any queries you may have. The beginning of every coaching journey starts with an initial introductory consult session which is ultimately the start of our relationship and establishing what it is you are seeking to gain from me as your coach/mentor.
11. Will I get as much out of my text/email-coaching as I would an allocated 45-minute video session?
The best opportunity for success is allowing enough time to really stop and think about honest answers for each question. Allowing enough time for communication with your coach is key. This boils down to your personal preference. Text-coaching and email-coaching allows you to stop and process the questions and a receiving of encouragement in time frame that suits you. For example, you have a child who needs your immediate attention, or someone comes to your front door. In these moments you can hit pause and come back to the questions when you can focus. Text/email coaching also allows you to connect with your coach in real time crisis! Imagine not having to wait for your private session in five days’ time but being able to connect with them immediately and work through your real-time roadblock.
12. Do you offer any loyalty programs?
We do offer referral incentives: for every new client you refer to Wife and Life Coaching, you will receive a complimentary gift card upon completion of their first paid session. I also have specials and promotions which run at different times throughout the year, so be sure to subscribe to be the first to know about these!
13. Do you guarantee results?
Coaching and mentorship by Wife and Life Coaching is by no means a guarantee. This is because success is directed solely on the actions or lack thereof, of the client. Our sessions and expertise, coupled with Gods leadership, provides the best possible environment for success, if you come with an open heart ready and eager to put the work in to see change!
14. It seems expensive, what is the benefit of spending money on something like this?
Although coaching is an out-of-pocket expense, the question you need to ask yourself is, “what are my priorities and is my goal worth the time and financial investment”? To save your marriage, to make it through a deployment, to find balance, to create a new stress-less future; all these goals and desires need action and accountability. If you are serious about achieving, succeeding, saving, maturing and growing, ask yourself, “if this cost is the only thing standing between me and the future I dream of, is it worth the sacrifice”? If the answer is “yes!”, then I would love to be the one to stay by your side as your personal cheerleader of hope.
